On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, the public comment period begins for the proposal to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) Renewal Permit to City of Peoria for the Jomax Water Reclamation Facility located in Peoria, Arizona. The comment period ends June 10, 2022.

Permit No. AZ0024945 Permit Type: AZPDES Maricopa County

City of Peoria applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 3.0 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the Jomax Water Reclamation Facility to the McMicken Wash in Maricopa County, Arizona. The Jomax Water Reclamation Facility is a publicly owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from residential and commercial sources in Peoria. Sludge is dewatered and hauled off-site to the Glendale Landfill.
