LEGAL NOTICE Effective September 12, 2022, the Morgan County Health Department (MCHD) will begin implementing Morgan County Board of Health Resolution #2021-003 regarding parcel review and operation and maintenance of household sewage treatment systems.

Per this resolution, any parcel with a total size of less than five acres will be subject to a parcel review process by MCHD to determine the feasibility of onsite sewage treatment as required by Ohio Administrative Code 3701-29-08.

Additionally, any parcel transferred with an existing household sewage treatment system is subject to an evaluation from MCHD and subsequent enrollment into an operations and maintenance program as required by Ohio Administrative Code 3701-29-19.

Property deeds will be stamped to reflect the determination of the parcel review process and/or household sewage treatment system evaluation. In most circumstances, these stamps will be required prior to deed transfer or issuance of a building permit. Please contact MCHD at 740-962-4572 for further information. 28-1
